We have all heard the old saying "if it isn't broke don't fix it", but unfortunately that does not apply here. They have a lot of benefits for us in the home, but if you have not been searched your humidifier serial number you are putting your home at risk of catching on fire. We have all received those inserts in the mail or seen them online that always sound really amazing, but once that initial WOW feeling goes away we think how can they do that. They will tell us somewhere why they can do this when no one else can and make us think maybe it is possible? Unfortunately the bad news is if it sounds to good to be true then it probably is. In the HVAC world there are not a lot of rules & regulations depending on where you live. Certain counties have some very minimum requirements while in other's it is the wild wild west and anyone can be an HVAC contractor.
